Guarantee

  • New devices:

  • 48 months from the date of sale according to the original invoice or receipt for Meyton measuring systems, 24 months for notebooks, desktop PCs, printers and tablets, 12 months for other items.

  • Repairs:

  • 6 months on the repairs carried out and the spare parts replaced

Defective devices during the warranty period

 

  • Repair or replacement is free of charge

  • A completed Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be enclosed with the return shipment. If the forms are incomplete or missing, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the inspection fee.

Excluded from the guarantee/warranty

 

  • self-inflicted damage, water damage, overvoltage damage and software

  • Consequential damages due to data loss resulting from hardware and software errors

 

Defects outside the warranty period

 

  • A flat-rate inspection fee is charged per device per repair order.

  • Meyton will provide a written cost estimate (KV) for repair costs above €300/net. If a KV below this value is requested, a flat fee of €50 will apply.

  • If the repair is carried out or a new device is purchased, the flat-rate cost estimate and inspection fee are not charged. If the repair is not carried out and no new device is purchased, the flat-rate costs will be charged.

  • An RMA must be completed for each device. If the RMA is incomplete or missing, 50% of the inspection fee may be charged.

  • Repairs are billed at €95 to €115 per hour, depending on the time involved. Time spent will be rounded up to the nearest quarter-hour. Repair materials and new devices will be charged at the standard retail price.

  • We will inform you automatically if the estimated repair costs exceed €500 per device.

  • Emergency repairs can only be processed after prior consultation with the workshop management and must be clearly marked as "Emergency Repair" upon receipt; sending by "Express Shipping" is not sufficient. A 20% surcharge on the total cost (excluding processing fees and packaging and transport costs) will be added to the total cost for urgent repairs.

  • Packaging and transport costs are calculated based on actual costs.

  • If no defect is found in a device, the inspection fee will be charged.

If the same fault occurs again on the same device within 6 months, the inspection fee will not be charged for the subsequent repair/replacement.
